Romance at the Amusement Park

Are you all about thrill, excitement, living on the edge? Well then this would be the perfect date for you! Most amusement parks are really trying to one up each other on the exciting rides. This means the ones we use to think were scary, like the scrambler or the little wooden roller coasters have been replaced by bigger, steeper, faster more thrilling rides. What better way to get close to your date than to scare her into getting close to you! What lady wouldn't grab their dates hand or bury her face into his shoulder going down a steep drop or around a sharp corner.

You can also check out the local water parks or make a weekend of it and hit one a few towns or a state away! Water parks are a lot of fun and spending a day riding the rapids, going down water slides and just hanging out in the wave pool is a great way to build up your appetite.  No matter which you choose there are some things you are going to want to make sure you do to insure that your date is a success and that there are no glitches or hangups

First, does your date like these types of things? Second, what's the weather going to be like on the day/weekend you plan on going? Do you have everything you need for a glitch free date; change of clothes, bathing suit (if you plan on a water park), sun screen, sensible shoes.  Most amusement parks have rules as to the type of shoes that you can wear so make sure you check ahead of time so you aren't disappointed. You will also want to invest in a locker at the park so you aren't carrying around extras that you might lose on a ride. Once you have it all figured out, go, have fun and by all means, bring in the Romance!

Romantic Horse and Buggy Date

You have seen it a million times on tv and in movies, this gorgeous horse and buggy pull up and the man gets out and hands the girl flowers and helps her in and away they go into the sunset. It is so romantic isn't it?! Well not everyone has the option for this one, but if you do I recommend it! The best thing about it is, aside from it pouring out you can take a horse and buggy ride just about anytime! Even in the winter, and talk about cuddle time!!

A winter horse and buggy ride is more romantic I think, cuddling under a blanket against your man couldn't be more romantic. Add some wine and there isn't much more you could ask for. Of course the winter ride would be a horse and sleigh ride, but either way it is still romantic and wonderful. You can either go through a field of snow or around a park, enjoy the scenery and each other and make memories.

Summer is a great time too, but the buggy's usually won't be running if it's real hot out, so prepare for a night ride, or early morning. With a night buggy ride you can enjoy the stars too so that's a double bonus. In the morning, you have the crisp morning air and could even bring along some Memosa's! now that would be a great brunch! In the winter you can bring along some hot chocolate, which you could spike if you wanted, after all you won't be driving So have fun, whichever you choose and don't forget the romance!!

Romantic Treasure Hunt

Treasure hunts are fun no matter why you are having them, but planning a Romantic Treasure Hunt is even more exciting! Think about where you want the "treasure" to be in the end, and what you want it to be and work your way up with the clues you give.

For example, let's say you want this treasure hunt to lead to a ring where you will propose to your girl. First, where do you want to ring to be? Will this be inside or outside? Will there be a problem with others finding clues or even finding the treasure?

Once you find the place, and where you are going the hide the treasure work your way backwards from there. Let's say you and your sweetie had your first kiss by a distinctive oak tree, and in this oak tree is a knot, big enough to hide a ring but too small for critters to live in. Your clue could be, 'you had my stomach in knots when we first kissed here'.

Are you getting the idea?? Think of how much fun it can be!! You can be very creative, you want to keep the clues somewhat simple, but not so easy that she is going to figure them out right away. So, use your imagination and have fun, after all, most romantic moments aren't just about flowers and champagne!

Take a minute and THINK about romance. What comes to mind? Are you way over the top with travel and gifts? Do you shower your loved one with just about anything you can afford? Perhaps you are closer to the hearts, cards, flowers, gestures and poetry type of person? Romance means different things to different people. What you need to find out, is what your partner considers romantic! One of the easiest ways to do this, is of course to ask. If you are trying to be sneaky, you need to be more of a listener.

Think back over the weeks, months and years you have been together. Your partner had to of mentioned something at some point about one of their friends or relatives and something done for them, that was “so romantic”. Maybe your love has read something, or seen something on TV that they thought was romantic. If you are a good listener, you will get a clue as to what your partner finds romantic. If you aren’t a good listener, then you better start to be!

If you are one of those types of people that just get caught up in everyday life, and don’t really think about romance at all unless an important date is coming up, like a birthday or anniversary, then thinking romantically might be harder for you. Here is a very easy start. Write your partner a daily love note! You can start with things such as, “I love the way you…” or “You make me happy because…” or “I love you because…” There are many ways to bring some romance into the picture. Start listening and you’ll be on your way to thinking romantically before you know it!

Did you know that you could be romantic or have romance in your life every day? Do you think that it would be extremely difficult? The smallest of gestures can be very romantic, and when we are talking about romance, we are not talking about being sexual. These are two completely different categories. Men seem to confuse or link the two and women know the difference. Just remember this, a sweet kiss on the lips or neck, a nice warm hug and an I Love You can be romantic. Just gazing into your partners eyes and telling them how much they mean to you can be romantic.

Getting up a few minutes early to pour your partner a cup of coffee or juice, make toast, walk the dog if it’s something your SO usually does, any little gesture that would give them that few extra minutes is what romance is all about and makes for a wonderful start to their day. There is a very well known TV Doctor that once said that he wakes up every morning and asks himself what he can do to make his wife’s life easier and more joyful.

It is so simple, and if you take a minute to think about it, I am sure you can find at least one thing you can do to make your love’s day just a little better. Even if it’s something as simple as putting the cap on the toothpaste or putting the toilet seat down. Think about it, what is one of your partners pet peeves about you that you could work on that would make them smile, or even laugh if you actually did it for once?

Almost everyone loves sweets, and even if you have to watch what you eat, there are many alternatives out there today to satisfy your sweetie. From chocolates to fruits, there is something that is bound to tickle his or her fancy. Maybe you could try a variety of things? Chocolate covered strawberries seem to be a favorite, but there are many fruits that are delicious dipped in chocolate. Try bananas, kiwi, grapes, pineapple etc. Have a fondue night! Melt some chocolate and cut up some fruit, light some candles and feed each other. Now can you say that isn’t romantic? If you aren’t into chocolate, you can try fruit drizzled in honey. What about cookies, cupcakes, cake. etc. There are an endless array of options when it comes to showering your sweetheart with sweets! If you have a partner who has to watch their sugar, there are many alternatives out there that you can buy, or use in place of real sugar. What is your partners favorite dessert? If you don’t know, find out! This is very important. Especially if you are trying to woo them . If you can cook or bake, then do it yourself. Show them how much they mean to you by making their favorite dessert with your own hands. Remember, anything made with love always tastes better.

Something that can give her more time for herself Something that maybe she really doesn’t like to do, but does it because it has to be done. What about doing the laundry or washing the dishes, or cleaning the bathroom? What if you sent the kids to a neighbor and ran a bath for her with all of the bells and whistles? Candles, a glass of wine, her favorite bath salts, sometimes the simplest ideas can be the most romantic. Massage her feet and give her a full body massage. Plan a romantic night or weekend away and make sure to read the reviews on the place you choose so their aren’t any disappointments to or surprises that might ruin things. Then, just do it! Either bring your own champagne or wine, or see if the facility has some available. Call ahead and have them set some out to be chilled when you get there. Some chocolate covered strawberries, candles, flowers, and you are on your way to perfecting your romantic side.
